Just Do It

Phrases which are cool like nike's tagline has helped me to do things without questions.

" Are you sure of this? "

" No need think so much de lah.. Just do it lah.. "

There's a imitation brand called niki, it always makes me laugh. The combination of niki and its tagline 'Just Did It' is really adorable.

Logically, it has helped me to go through things and saved my thoughts, but most of the times, I think this phrase has corrupted many of us, helping us do something that we regret later on, or maybe bring suffering to ourselves or to others. I'm sure everyone's aware of this and agree to this. But, this type of phrases kinda stick into our heads, especially in decision making, and facing peer pressure, and the feeling when everyone is waiting for you to " JUST DO IT".

I myself is used to ask alot of questions, and some people do complain about this, maybe it is 'unjoyful' or 'uncool' to them. People say I think too much. From young, I thought questions are the basic to learning progess in life, but as I grow older, when questions gets harder, and when the answers can make a big impact, people kinda gets scared and feel hard to accept certain kind of questions invoked. The answer is " You are thinking too much, friend"

I kinda hate that answer, cause it paralyzes us. Yes, in certain situations, we do not know the answer, and not all questions can be answered. Sometimes, we have to learn by trying (not drugs). But I always believe in making the best of out of everything even we can't get it all perfect, like the way people try their best to find money even if they can't find it all. They are doing the best.

As humans, we are gifted with the wit, even animals can learn simple things in repetition. It is our advantage. Other than the wit, we are weak in many areas. Should we just ignore questions to lessen our worries? For me, I would want to be better than an animal..

  1. hi-5. As an advertising student, I think NIKE has the best most impactful slogan of all times. "Just Do it" has changed the way I decide things since secondary school. =p.

the best way to escape from going in circles finding the answers to seemingly obscure questions to life is to get ourselves hooked with more mature intellectual beings who could help us in this trauma.

We all have ppl we look up to in life. They could be our teachers, our parents, people who have surpass many trials and errors in lives. People who are not of our age group and comfort zone.
